SIIMGROUP's Data Protection and Privacy Policy

I – Principles:

The SIIMGROUP (FCGM S.A., REALTORS, LDA. and INIU) wishes to comply with the community and national legal standards relating to data protection, as stipulated in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and following the goals and policies indicated below in these Internal Regulations.

The SIIMGROUP is in the process of implementing a data protection system in order to responsibly guarantee safety and privacy in the treatment of the personal details of all the parties involved (clients, partners, workers and service providers).

The SIIMGROUP does not sell nor cedes to third parties to the group, its databases and ensures that, in gathering and processing any personal details, it does so only according to the following principles:

1. Purpose of the collection of personal details:

The personal details gathered by the SIIMGROUP are intended only to carry out the activities of real estate brokerage and rental management, in the case of FCGM, S.A. and of REALTORS, Lda., and to carrying out the activity of remodelling and works on buildings, in the case of INIU, namely for the presentation of real estate solutions and works to its clients, with the scrupulous compliance with the Real Estate Brokerage Law as set out in Law 115/2013 of 8 February, and also with the rules of the RE/MAX brand, regarding FCGM and REALTORS and with the legislation in force regarding the works to be carried out by INIU.

So, we collect, process and use your personal details exclusively for this purpose;

2. Elements or data necessary:

Whenever we request personal details or any natural person voluntarily provides them to us, the fields that we ask you to fill in are essential data for us to be able to contact you and for us to carry out our commercial activities, and the lack of these data may affect the efficiency and the result of our service provision.

Fulfilling the data minimisation principle, the SIIMGROUP only requests from any natural person the personal details that are strictly necessary to carry out its activity, taking into account each of the stages of the legal relationship between the SIIMGROUP and the data holder, and so the data gathered and treated are those that are strictly appropriate, pertinent and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are treated;

3. Period of conservation of the data provided:

The personal details will be conserved by the SIIMGROUP only for the time strictly necessary for the purpose that motivated its collection, or for a longer period only in order to comply with legal obligations.

4. Rights of the data holder:

In conformity with the provisions in the GDPR and always within the scope of and with the limitations contemplated in the legal rules, the SIIMGROUP ensures that its clients, as holders of the data, can exercise the rights contemplated in these regulations, namely the right to the protection of their personal details, to the respective privacy, the right of access to the data, the right to its rectification, erasure, portability (if and when applicable), limitation, opposition to treatment, notification in the event of irregularities, and also  the right to be informed in case of violation of the personal details;

Besides the above rights, the SIIMGROUP also ensures the diverse rights related with the principles of the treatment of personal details contemplated in article 5 of the GDPR, namely the right that all the data shall be processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner, gathered for a specific purpose, that the data shall be adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are processed, they are recorded accurately, can be updated and are conserved in order to permit the identification of their holder only during the period necessary, consented, or imposed by law and always treated in a way that their order to that their safety is guaranteed, except in legally contemplated situations.

5. Data Protection Office:

In order to exercise any of the rights related with the data of the parties involved, or for any matter related with the protection and privacy of personal details, the data holder may contact the SIIMGROUP’s Data Protection Office, through the e-mail address: proteccaodedados@siimgroup.pt, describing the matter that caused the need for the contact and indicating a telephone number, e-mail address or address for the respective response.
